Founded in 1935, Ashland is home to the world renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival which runs from mid-February through early November.  The company presents 11 productions each season in 3 theaters including the Elizabethan outdoor theater. It is an exceedingly professional company that helps to attract 250,000 visitors to Ashland each year.
